Anti-Globalization is a Crime

Filed under: Politics, free, libertarian — jayus @ 11:10 pm

In the era of globalization it’s a crime to stop free market. It’s a crime against your fellow citizens to demand the end of free market. It’s unethical and cruel to deprive somebody from the right to exchange with the rest of the world. And the camouflage is socialism, caring for the poor, saving the rainforests, etc.

It’s unbelievable how propaganda is used to conceal the facts about free-market capitalism. Was communism defeated with the collapse of USSR? most probably yes. Was that the end of the road for capitalism? Nope. Still have to persuade the people that it’s the best system. There’s still a big bulk of people waiting to be persuaded for the simple facts that most economists can assure you about:

Free market is good for the developed countries.More than obvious. People in developed countries live in a situation everyone would envy a few decades ago. They re kings of today.

Free market is great for the developing countries. Absolutely obvious. Since1970  world absolute poverty and malnutrition has dropped to the half. From 33 to 15% . Will you let these people sell their products or not? Let them work in factories and get rich for their standards! If you stop the so-called “sweatshops” you convict a country to growing rice for the next century!

It’s not a utopia ,there are still criminals and dangers. But wtf! Isn’t it obvious that free market capitalism works great in the “western” countries? And now what? We don’t want anybody to enter the club?

  1. Never heard such an ignorant and dumb argumentation in my life…

I personally thought that since the movie “a beautiful mind” even the dumbest fuck around should have grasp an understanding of what the outcomes are if everybody just persues his self interest (which is exactly how a free market works). Most of the times it may lead to the optimal solution but it is just silly to assume that this is always the case. Fortunately life is not that simple and reveals us its beauty by beeing to complicated to fit in those simple minded theories.

Nevertheless I am an opponent of globalization as there clearly are many benefits, in my opinion especially for the poor countries in the long run and there is no way to stop it anyway. But without regulations companies will just exploit their profits at unreasonable costs for society…

  2. This was actually a presentation of a few statistics with no real arguments included, so I am still wondering where did you find the argumentation?

Is free-market only about pursue of self interest? yes and no. As a moral background you can read “The virtue of selfishness” by Ayn Rand. In economics, you can see the stats.

I didn’t assume that the free market solves all the problems, I didn’t assume that life is simple, I didn’t make a theory..:)

“there clearly are many benefits, in my opinion especially for the poor countries in the long run and there is no way to stop it anyway.”

    I agree with that.

There are always rules by which the companies play the game. The question is how many rules are required to protect society. It seems that a minimal set of rules benefits everyone.
